In this special episode, the gang talks about the gang in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. And then they get cozy, and talk about their friendship... NAH! Next week the gang will talk Tristan out of bombing a Gamestop, Hassan gets a double sex change, Kenny develops a bad case of ghost herpes, and Andrew thinks he's a lemur! Oh also next week will be part 2 of the Fineys in which the guys will bring the hammer down for their Game of The Year picks!

In this special episode, Greg replaces Kenny and Andrew for the week and he comes on to talk about Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, the gang talks about the dumb stuff they do in open-world video games, and Hassan and Tristan still watch anime! Then we pay homage to the late Paul Walker and talk about one of our favourite film franchises of all time!

And by Kyousougiga I meant Kyoukai no Kanata. Whoops!

In this very special episode the gang discuss being a murder in GTA V, the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, brain science with Kenny, New Japanese Pro Wrestling, and then they cap it all off with some TMNT! There are so many factoids about the Ninja Turtles that you shouldn't miss this episode if you love yourself some Turtles!

In this very special episode, the crew take an extensive look at Doctor Who! Like a really extensive look. Like way too extensive a look. However, before that they dive into the world of Thor: The Dark World, the dark world of creating homebrew tabletop RPGs, and the super bright world of Japanese wrestling! Listen to this episode or Rainmaker won't come visit you.

In this very special episode, the gang discuss the World of Tanks beta; how awesome Thor: The Dark World is; Halifax's local geekery convention: Hal-Con; Key and Peele and skecth comedy shows; and they talk about how the video game fanbase interacts with reviewers and other fans!

Also the audio in the second part is a little echoey, but it's cool! Just pretend we're in a tunnel! Woo!

WARNING: We discuss the act of rape in terms of a story-telling device in this episode of the podcast. The cast of Everything is Fine, Nothing is Ruined certainly do not, and never will, condone rape or acts of violence in any form. If you're squeamish about this subject, you have been warned.

In this very special episode, the gang discusses Doctor Who, Man of Steel (the movie), and then they get into a thematic discussion about how Berserk and Game of Thrones have similar ideals and components. we get fairly academic in the last half here folks, so strap on your mortarboards, pour some cognac, and listen as we talk about Game of Thrones and Berserk as stories that reflect humankind.

In this spooky episode, the gang reveals what they're going as for Hallowe'en, they discuss Kamen Rider Forze, Kill La Kill, stand up comedy and the Halifax Pop Explosion, and How I Met Your Mother. Then we cap it all off when we talk about X-men: Battle of the Atom!

Andrew - Kamen Rider Forze, Marvel movie trailers

Tristan - Kill La Kill, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

Hassan - Halifax Pop Explosion

In this very special episode we're joined by comic artist and author Faith Erin Hicks; we talk about Pokemon X/Y; Berserk is cool and you should watch and/or read it; and we discuss Full Metal Alchemist!

In this special episode we're joined by our friend and third guest Tim Larade; we talk about how awesome Kill La Kill is; Dragon Dogma's slick game-feel; and A Goofy Movie and Goof Troop! It's a very weird episode, ya'll.

What'cha Doin'?:

Tim - Kill La Kill and Shantae!

Andrew - Dust: An Elysian Tale!

Hassan - Tomb Raider and Steam Badges!

Tristan - Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen!

A Goofy Movie (00:54:55):

- A Goofy Movie is such a product of the '90s that we're not sure if it's something that holds up in late 2013. We mostly talk about the emotions in A Goofy Movie and stuff. The feels, man. The feels.

Quick note! We've been recording our show a week in advance, but since we've been struggling to not mention anything news related in that week, and anything we've spoken about during the day we record is automatically outdated news, I've decided to throw episode 11 up early so we can fix the timeline. Episode 11 was recorded this week, only a few days ago. Enjoy!

In this special episode we talk about how awesome Windwaker was, how much Terraria is taking over Kenny's life, and we snuggle in with Andrew and learn that reading comic books is not so scary!

What'cha Doin'?:

Tristan - Borderlands 1 and 2, and Love Lab!

Andrew - Sex Criminals and Windwaker!

Hassan - After Earth, This is The End, and Rush!

Kenny - Terraria (and the beginning stages of addiction)!

Getting Into Comics! (00:49:25):

- Comics aren't that scary. There's so many to choose from that you can just go with your tastes and your gut feelings and pick up what you want! If you're even slightly thinking "I'd like to read that," then why not go to your local comic shop and purchase some reading material? You'll thank yourself when you've delved into some of the amazing stories that comic books offer up.

*Warning: This episode contains spoilers for Mass Effect 3: Citadel and Saints Row IV.*

In this special episode we discuss how I'm keeping Andrew from watching the new S.H.I.E.L.D. show by recording the podcast on Tuesdays; the Mass Effect 3 DLC is some cool stuff; and we do a Saints Row IV spoiler cast! Also Kenny is fighting giant robots or something in this episode.

---

What'cha Doin'?:

Andrew - Not watching S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Mass Effect 3 DLC!

Hassan - Django Unchained (the original and the Tarantino remake), Monkey (the funkiest monkey who ever did pop!), and Hitman Absolution!

Tristan - Warmachine is awesome still, fighting games and The King of Fighters series!

---

Saints Row IV SPOILER CAST (00:57:22):

- We're going to spoil Saints Row IV! Just listen to the show at this point, because all notes about the game stop here.

In this very special episode, we reveal that this show goes up a week after we record it! Tucker and Dale Vs Evil is a cool movie! Wrestling is like Power Rangers, somehow! The World's End/The Cornetto Trilogy is a work of genius! BRITISH Genius!

What'cha' Doin'?:

Tristan - Tristan had a birthday, it was sweet and cool and you weren't invited! Tucker and Dale Vs Evil, Men Who Stare at Goats, Real Steel, and Bully needs another game!

Hassan - Powerpoint is dumb and fun! Power Rangers is pretty cool!

Andrew - Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger (Pirate Power Rangers)! Wrestling is weird!

Kenny - Warmachine just came out with a new faction, and they have gun faces! Fuckin' A! Also, anime is still cool.

The World's End / The Cornetto Trilogy (00:54:57):

The Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy is awesome and World's End deserves your love! Oddly enough, there's not a lot of blood in World's End... Whatever!

In this special episode Kenny is out and we roll with 3 guys for a change. We learn how charitable Andrew is, we discuss how awesome the Speed Racer movie is, and Andrew tells us about the Sonic and Mega Man comicbook crossover.

I've been told that this is the Hassancast... What's a Hassancast?

What'cha Doin'!?:

Andrew - Shopping woes, the Saints Row franchise, wrestling and Futurama!

Tristan - Aban Hawkins & the 1000 Spikes, Speed Racer, and Warmachine/Hordes!

Hassan - Gadgetry is weird and stuff!

Sonic and Mega Man Comicbook Crossover (00:43:42):

Archie comics do the comic books for Sonic and Mega Man and that means they can crossover! Huzzah!

Hello agent. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to listen to this podcast and enjoy the content inside. You will find money and a gun in the attache case across the street in the hotel.  If you are ever caught, the bureau will disavow all knowledge of your actions. This message will self destruct in five seconds.

On this very special episode, Andrew is... wait. That's not Andrew. Who the hell is that!? Is that... Is that Greg? OH SHIT NUTS! Everybody run!

Segment 1 - What'cha Doin'?:

Greg - Taken 2, Just Cause 2, and getting super salt with Salty Bet!

Hassan - Saints Row 4, Top Gear is an awesome show and Kenny is a boob. Boob.

Tristan - Xbox Live Indie Games, and Bakemonogatari vs Highschool of the Dead.

Kenny - Writing Pathfinder campaigns, and Greg's not allowed near RPGs.

Segment 2 - Bureaucratic Spy Fiction and Acquired Tastes (01:01:52):

- Bureaucratic Spy Fiction! The stuff about spies being boring, desk workers who work in the field on an occassional basis. We're not here to talk about Jason Bourne or James Bond, but lets look into Jack Ryan, Tara Chace, or Sterling Archer to a degree. Well, Archer himself isn't so much bureaucratic as his co-workers are, but you get the idea!

- I'm writing a novel... still. Yeah it's never getting done because I'm an ill-focused madman! A maaaadmaaaaan!

- Queen and Country is really good! Greg Rucka is kinda the man, dawg.

- Archer is a kick ass show about the comedic side of spies. It's very good!

- Doctor Who works as a spy! Unfortunately we're kinda fatigued by the show. Yeah. It's cool if you like it, but we need something different from the series.

- We dive into the subject of tastes that very acquired as opposed to tastes that are more based in bombastic fantasty. Every topic I come up with devolves into me talking about why a thing is good. And Dark Souls. It aaaaall comes back to Dark Souls.

- Homeland is fairly good! It's on Netflix, so check it out.

- Hard Ticket to Hawaii is... um. Something.

- Get Carter is super cool! Check out the Michael Caine version.

In this special episode, we talk about how weird our names are. Andy's moving away and we'll never see him again. No, really. He's moving to the other side of the country and we'll miss his sorry toucas. But it's all cool because we can still hang out and talk about Saints Row 4 and properties that fans sometimes treat better than the source.

Also... uh... we uh... lost some audio... WHOOPS!

Section 1:

Andrew - Saints Row 4

Andy - Moving to Vancouver, BC. Canada, yo. However: Sims 3 is still cool!

Hassan - McPixel! And calling back to episode 2's conversation about music.

Kenny's and Tristan's opinions were mysteriously lost. Was it the government trying to cover up the truths that they told? Was it dimensional hell beasts that erased their speech? Were these two hosts sucked into a vortex? Or was... oh wait we lost the audio and had to just recorded a new segment. Welp. There you go! Professional.

Kenny and Tristan - Boardwalking! In which we talk about board games and Dominion in particular. Which is a deck building board game! It's fun and you should try it!

Section 2 (00:51:51):

Content the Fans Treat Better Than The Source.

Tristan is shows how evil Capcom is with the treatment of their own properties, but is then promptly shot down by some Capcom apologists! (Or he said something dumb in which he never got to explain his words.)

Somehow this whole thing goes into a talk about fanfiction and other media that fans create. And we manage to avoid cosplay and fur piles.

Tristan likes to sound like he knows what he's talking about and is a total hipster jerk-face! Or, he likes high art and killing Shakespeare. Whatever.

We dive a bit into the world of videogame music remixes!

In this very special episode we bring on our first guest/friend, Matt Jaeschke, to talk about Transformers! Also we're working on shortening the show, because the last one was too damn long. Whoops!

Section 1 What'cha Doin':

Andrew: Phineas and Ferb Marvel Crossover and DCAF!

Tristan: Welcome to Night Vale and getting back into writing as a career (maybe)!

Hassan: Dirt 2 and what constitutes a racing game!

Matt: Highschool reunions and Transformers!

Kenny: Skullgirls beta, Bioshock Infinite and Masters Thesis!

Section 2 Transformers are Great (00:49:52):

We're all Autobuddies and Autobuds here! Don't Decepticon what you Deceptican't do! And more bad jokes like that.

IDW comics are great and you should read them.

Turtles Forever.

Beast Wars is good and that Megatron is a total badass, and Andrew's all into hot-tub Megatron. Yowza.

Matt was a robot and died on set after trying to steal energon from Rodimus Prime who was disguised as my laptop! Or... you know, he has to leave suddenly for mysterious, unexplained reasons.

The Reboot and Beast Wars guys are doing nothing you'd want to see anymore and we reminisce on one of their best pieces of work.

Our favourite Transformers!

I'm an idiot (again) and think Arcee is played by Jennifer Hale. This is because I was Jennifer Hale to be in every show as the most badass girl character. Arcee is played by Sumalee Montano, and she deserves mad props.

Transformers Animated is really good and worth a watch!

Show notes to come.

In this very special episode of Everything is Fine Nothing is Ruined, Hassan takes over and under his horrible tyrranical rule, we devise a plan to overthrow him by talking about Metroid, The Wolverine and RPG Maker games! Then when that fails we dig a tunnel to his throne room and try to blow him up. Then his awesome mom yells at us. Sorry Hassan's mom.

Part 3 (1:30:45):

- How is Metroid as a franchise and the story behind Metroid. We also discuss the femine nature and female empowerment status behind the Metroid series. Andrew finds something to like about Metroid: Other M (lauded as one of the worst Metroid games in terms of story and making Samus look weak).

In this very special episode we begin to rotate hosts! Andrew hosts! Andy is in the cast this episode as Kenny had to work. We talk about Friends.... again for like a minute. And we talk about Borderlands 2, and Licensed Music in Videogames.

Part 1:

-Superman's pretty good, but his comics are weird.

-Captain Marvel is wicked awesome.

-Comics are weird.

-Heavy Rain is kinda bad, but worth seeing. Go play Walking Dead instead.

-DOGS INVADE AND WE'RE ALL EATEN!

Part 2, What'cha doin'? (31:27):

- Tristan doesn't remember who started in episode 1, but it was Kenny.

-Bubblegum Crisis 2040 talk with Tristan!

-Borderlands 2 with Andy!

-M*A*S*H* with Hassan!

-X-Men TAS with Andrew!

Part 3 Licensed Music in Videogames (1:29:23):

-Hassan wants to have the power to change the licensed music in videogames (in games like GTA, Saints Row, etc.) but Andrew thinks it's a very specific selection of music!

-They word-box for a bit in the name of progressive thinking!

In this episode we discuss the finer side of quality, daytime television, Infamous 2 and choices in videogames, and we find out that one the four amongst us may be hiding a dark secret. What fun!

Show notes:

With that, show notes!
